This year's GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert brings closure to this epic concert celebration of Syracuse Blues started in 2016. A 10-year run, annually presented the day after Christmas, will be taking a “break” after concert #10 and there will be no GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert in 2027.
 
GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert producer, Greg Spencer of Blue Wave Records, will take a year off (2027) and re-evaluate whether to continue the concerts with a “new” series that may or may not begin again in 2028. 
 
The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert #10 - The Last Concert! will be limited to 400 seated patrons, and there is plenty of free parking at the Macedonian Orthodox Church parking lot. Food & beverages will be available and served by the church staff.
 
The area’s best musicians will be playing a special selection of Blues-related songs especially picked out for the final GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert. This will give the concert a chance to pay homage to some of the artists not covered in the first 9 concerts, as well as playing a few songs from artists who weren’t fully covered in depth in the previous shows.
 
Expect to hear songs performed or written by such diverse Blues & Roots artists as Rory Gallagher, Alvin Lee, Nina Simone, Al Kooper, Southside Johnny, Dave Mason, Frankie Miller, Mick Abrahams, Bobby Blue Bland, Jimmy Cliff, John Hammond, Jr., Jimmy Witherspoon, Tony Joe White & others.
 
The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert #10 - The Last Concert! will also feature 7 performers new to the series, as well some favorite performers from previous concerts.

About The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert Series

The GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert is an annual event. A series of 10 GREAT Salt City BLUES Concerts will be presented. This is concert #10 and is the final concert of the series.

Each concert is unique and never to be repeated with a changing line-up of performers featuring some of the area's greatest musicians. Each concert is a thematic show with participating musicians chosen specifically because they are best fitted for the show.

 

There will not be a GREAT Salt City BLUES Concert in 2027, this is The Last Concert in this series!
